Emer Ward is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing in the Institute of Technology, Sligo, Ireland. This includes teaching all marketing subjects but she has a keen interest in The Marketing of Services. As a senior lecturer she has responsibility for Student Retention which involves examining the role of different teaching methodologies in helping to engage the students. She has been involved in the training of new staff to the institute for the last number of years and part of this involves the topic of "Teaching large groups". Emer is also an associate member of Meehan, Tully and Associates, Consultants in Sligo where she presents marketing training programmes to people interested in starting their own businesses or hoping to grow their venture. She has also worked as a business mentor with Envision Marketing Consultants, Galway. The webinar today is a discussion on issues such as; What are the difficulties in teaching large groups? What are the positives? How should one prepare to teach large groups? What strategies are necessary in the class room to make it run smoothly and to achieve the objective of the session?

what sort of numbers does she mean by 'large'. Would be interesting to get a feel for the event that way.
